Plenary in the morning, banquet in the evening, dance floor at midnight: modular partitions and zones turn one space into exactly the setting your event needs. How each area is used is something we plan together after your booking – today, all you need to decide on is the occasion.
By day
Daylight through tall window fronts, 2× 85″ screens, wireless microphones and quiet break-out zones – from a 10-person workshop to a plenary with 120 guests.
By night
RGBW lighting in your colour, SONOS background music, bar and Kitchen Area in action – and if the night goes well, nobody but you decides when it ends.
The Kitchen Area
Not a makeshift set-up, but a genuine open kitchen at the centre of the space: this is where buffets, live cooking and Kitchen Parties are created – the heart of the house, family-run from day one.

For all layouts facing a stage or speaker, individual sightlines may be limited by support columns – we solve this with split screens: the main screen content is distributed across several displays in the room so every guest sees everything.
The venue measures 400 m² – all maximum capacities refer to this area. The final guest count depends on stage, bar, dance floor and technology – we are happy to plan your individual setup.

The courtyard: food trucks, stalls and lounge
The venue sits in a courtyard with industrial charm. In the evening and at weekends there is room for food trucks, stalls or an open-air lounge – ideal for summer parties, receptions or the hour after dinner. On weekdays until 5 pm the courtyard can only be used to a limited extent, as the neighbouring businesses are at work. A covered smoking area is right by the entrance, and there is an outdoor high-voltage connection for food trucks.

Behind REST2RENT there's no faceless events corporation, but a family-run team with roots in hospitality who love being hosts.
The former margarine factory in Hamburg-Altona (Bahrenfeld) was once a place of production. We've kept the raw industrial architecture – its columns and tall window fronts – and turned it into an event venue where character and comfort meet: 400 m² that adapt to any occasion.
Because we take on only one event per day, your event has our full attention. Venue, catering from our own Kitchen Area and service all come from a single source – with one dedicated contact who is there for you from the first enquiry to the last guest.

Venue & event flow
Do we get the venue exclusively?
Yes. We host only one event per day – the roughly 400 m² are entirely yours for your event, with no parallel groups or shared areas.
What occasions is the venue suited for?
From corporate events – conferences, summer parties, Christmas parties, Kitchen Parties – to private celebrations such as weddings and milestone birthdays. The space is adaptable and shapes itself to the occasion.
How many guests fit into the REST2RENT event venue in Hamburg?
The REST2RENT event venue holds 20 to 200 guests – in a workshop format also smaller groups from 10 people. At long tables up to 200, a classic round-table banquet up to approx. 150, plenary up to approx. 120 – we advise on the right seating layout.
Is the venue suitable for conferences and meetings?
Yes. By day the space becomes a plenary for up to 120 – with daylight, screens, wireless microphones and quiet break-out zones. More on corporate events.
Is there a curfew at REST2RENT in Hamburg?
No, there is no curfew and no noise restriction at REST2RENT. You decide when the night ends.
Which days of the week can we celebrate?
Any of the seven days of the week – hire costs the same from Monday to Sunday.
How do our guests get here – parking and directions?
We're right in the heart of Hamburg-Altona (Bahrenfeld), around 1 km from the A7 motorway and 5 km from the central station. Over 100 free parking spaces are available, the Bornkampsweg bus stop (lines 2 and 3) is just around the corner and a hotel is only 50 m away. Is the venue accessible?
On foot, a few steps lead to the ground-floor event space; a lift is available for wheelchairs and walkers. A separate accessible WC and a baby-changing table are available.
Catering, tech & equipment
What technology and equipment is available?
Two 85″ screens, wireless microphones, RGBW mood lighting in your colour, SONOS for background music, a bar and the Kitchen Area are part of the standard set-up. Special requirements – for stage technology or hybrid set-ups, for example – we clarify together in advance.
Can we host a Kitchen Party or live cooking?
Yes – our Kitchen Area sits right at the centre of the space. Buffets, live cooking and Kitchen Parties are at home here. Just ask us about Catering.
Is service staff included?
With our complete packages, service and venue supervision are included – a dedicated contact is on site throughout your event. With the dry hire model you bring your own team.
Can I bring my own caterer to REST2RENT?
Yes, REST2RENT is one of the few event venues in Hamburg with no in-house catering tie. With our dry hire model – including use of the Kitchen Area and bar.
Is catering available off-site too?
Yes – we deliver buffets and finger food in and around Hamburg, see Catering.
Can I bring my own decorations to REST2RENT in Hamburg?
Yes, at REST2RENT your own decorations, florals or branding are welcome – we briefly agree on set-up and timing in advance.
Prices, booking & terms
What does the venue cost?
Hire only up to 4 h €990 net (€1,190.00 gross incl. VAT), up to 8 h €1,690 net (€2,000.00 gross). Weekend: 3 days · Friday to Sunday · entire venue · €3,990 net (€4,750.00 gross) – not a day rate. Same price Mon–Sun. Private customers pay the gross price. Drinks, food and staff are added as building blocks – B2B net, private gross.
How much is the deposit?
30% on booking, the balance after the event.
What are the cancellation terms?
The cancellation terms are set out in our terms and conditions and are tiered by how far in advance you cancel before the event date. We explain them transparently in your quote.
What if we extend on the night?
No problem, even spontaneously: €5 net (€6.00 gross incl. VAT) per person and hour beyond the booked duration, at least €250 net.
How does an enquiry work?
You tell us the occasion, date and approximate number of guests via the enquiry form – with no obligation. We get back to you promptly with a tailored proposal and work out the details together.
How far ahead should I book REST2RENT for an event?
At REST2RENT in Hamburg: As early as possible – popular dates, especially Fridays, Saturdays and the run-up to Christmas, fill up quickly. Feel free to send a no-obligation enquiry and we'll check your preferred date.
