Frequently asked questions
Can I bring my own caterer to REST2RENT?
Yes, REST2RENT is one of the few event venues in Hamburg with no in-house catering tie. That is exactly what this model is for. You use the Kitchen Area and bar with your own team; on request we add staff or equipment.
What does an extension cost?
€5 plus VAT per person and hour beyond the booked time, at least €250 plus VAT.
Can I rent the venue by the hour?
For photo shoots and similar short uses without catering we offer an hourly rate of €300 net per hour, from 2 hours. For events with catering the half-day or full-day rate applies.
How does the handover work?
Personal handover at the start, return after your event. Final cleaning is included in every rate; broom-clean is sufficient.

Bring your own caterer or book food, drinks and staff with us. Venue hire from €990 net.
Rent a hall, room or loft – what you get
Renting a hall or room for a party in Hamburg often means an empty space and many open questions. At REST2RENT you rent an equipped loft: Kitchen Area, bar with draught system, lounge furniture, standing tables and bar stools, Sonos system for background music, 2× 85″ screens, Wi-Fi and RGBW lighting are included in the hire, as is final cleaning.
You decide how much we take on: just the space, drinks and buffet as well, or the complete planning. With your own caterer the venue hire is charged by duration; if you book a drinks package and buffet for 30 guests or more, a reduced venue rate applies.
With your own caterer or with our full service
REST2RENT is one of the few event venues in Hamburg with no in-house catering tie. You can bring your own caterer, who uses the Kitchen Area, dishwashing room and cold storage – or book buffet, drinks and staff directly with us. The courtyard: food trucks, stalls and lounge
The venue sits in a courtyard with industrial charm. In the evening and at weekends there is room for food trucks, stalls or an open-air lounge – ideal for summer parties, receptions or the hour after dinner. On weekdays until 5 pm the courtyard can only be used to a limited extent, as the neighbouring businesses are at work. A covered smoking area is right by the entrance, and there is an outdoor high-voltage connection for food trucks.
