Venue hire: what is typical?
Hamburg event venues usually charge per day or half day. For a medium-sized space (300–500 m²), day rates range from €1,500 to €4,000 plus VAT — industrial venues at the upper end, while hotels often work with minimum banquet spends. At REST2RENT, room hire costs €990 up to 4 h and €1,690 up to 8 h plus VAT; the weekend is a 3-day package – Friday to Sunday, entire venue – for €3,990 plus VAT, deliberately without the weekend surcharge that is otherwise common in Hamburg. With a drinks package and buffet, room hire drops from 30 guests.
What does a complete package cost per person?
The more honest yardstick for celebrations and conferences is the price per person, because it bundles venue, catering, service and technology into a single figure:

All prices net plus VAT (food 7 %, everything else 19 %); private clients receive gross prices. We calculate your quote individually.
The items people tend to keep quiet about
- Final cleaning: often €250–500 extra — always included with us.
- Curfew logic: extensions after 11 pm quickly cost three figures per hour elsewhere, or are simply impossible. We have no curfew; spontaneous extensions cost €5/h including staff.
- Technology: equipment hire, sound equipment, "AV flat fees" — screens, sound and lighting are part of the space with us.
- Caterer tie-ins: some venues demand a share of the external caterer's revenue. With our dry hire model, you pay only the hire fee.
- Weekend surcharges: +10–20% is standard in the industry — with us, the same price applies Mon–Sun.
